Indications:
– Adjunct to diet for treating primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial) or homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.
Main Active Ingredients:
– Rosuvastatin (20 mg as rosuvastatin calcium).
– Ezetimibe (10 mg).
How to use:
- Take one tablet daily, with or without food
Precautions:
– Not suitable as initial therapy — only for patients stabilized on individual components.
– Monitor for muscle toxicity; contraindicated in conditions predisposing to myopathy/rhabdomyolysis (e.g., moderate renal impairment, hypothyroidism, prior statin muscle issues, etc.).
– Perform liver function tests before and 3 months after initiation; discontinue or adjust dose if transaminase levels ≥ 3× upper limit.
– Use with caution in patients with excessive alcohol consumption or liver disease.
